Shrewsbury Town 0-1 Stevenage

Jamie Reid's late goal secured Stevenage their first victory of 2024 as Shrewsbury Town suffered a second 1-0 home defeat in seven days.
Having lost twice since Boxing Day, victory for Steve Evans' side keeps them seventh, level on points with sixth-placed Barnsley in the play-off places, while it was Shrewsbury's sixth defeat in seven league and cup games.
In a first half of very limited chances, Reid had a shot on target inside the opening minute when Reid - from a tight angle - fired wide from close range.
Shrewsbury went close in the 20th minute when skipper Chey Dunkley rose highest at the back post to head wide from a corner.
Tom Bayliss them combined with fellow Shrewsbury substitute Max Mata, who spun and got a shot off just past the hour, saved by visiting goalkeeper Taye Ashby-Hammond.
But, with just six minutes remaining, Jake Forster-Caskey played a fabulous through ball to Reid, who nicely converted his 19th goal of the season in all competitions.
