League Two strugglers Doncaster Rovers have signed striker Conor Carty on loan from Bolton for the rest of the season.

The Republic of Ireland Under-21 international scored six goals during a loan with St Patrick's Athletic in his homeland, helping them win the FAI Cup.

He "I'm delighted, As soon as I knew the move was coming up, I jumped on it straight away. I'm really happy to be here.

"To come to such a big club like Doncaster now, I'm really excited."

Carty, 21, came through the ranks at Wolves before moving to the Trotters in 2022, and has had loan spells with National League Oldham and Gateshead.

Rovers manager Grant McCann said: "He's a good player. He's athletic, he wants to run in behind, he's a good finisher. He's come here off the back of a good loan with St Pat's which went really well for him.

"We're really pleased to get him because there was quite a bit of interest in him from the EFL."
