Alvaro Morata has scored 25 goals in 52 international appearances for Spain to become only the eighth player to reach that figure in the history of the Spanish national team
Former Chelsea striker Alvaro Morata scored twice as Spain cruised to a 5-0 friendly victory over Iceland.
Morata opened the scoring with a fine finish in the 36th minute and added his second three minutes later with a penalty after Dani Olmo was fouled.
Villarreal's Yeremi Pino, 19, headed in a third for his first Spain goal.
Pablo Sarabia also scored twice, converting passes from Chelsea defender Marcos Alonso on both occasions, to seal the easy victory for the hosts.
Morata's double took him up to eighth in Spain's all-time goalscoring chart. He is one behind Emilio Butragueno and two adrift of Fernando Morientes, although Morata - on loan at Juventus from Atletico Madrid - has a long way to go to match David Villa's record mark of 59.
Spain, whose starting 11 included Chelsea defender Cesar Azpilicueta and Manchester City centre-half Aymeric Laporte, have now won four games in a row as they build up to the 2022 World Cup.
Iceland beat England in the last 16 of Euro 2016, but will not be in Qatar after they only won two of their 10 qualifying matches and finished fifth in their group.
