Wrexham moved up to second in the National League as they brushed Barnet aside with a formidable display.

Ollie Palmer finished off a determined run to put Wrexham ahead before Paul Mullin fired home after Jake Askew had parried Aaron Hayden's header.

Jordan Davies drilled the ball home from 18 yards before Ben Tozer scored his first Wrexham goal.

Reece Hall-Johnson converted a cross from Liam McAlinden, who scored the sixth to complete an impressive win.

Wrexham, now unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions, are eight points behind leaders Stockport County, while Barnet remain 16th.

Wrexham manager Phil Parkinson said:

"It was a professional display from us tonight and it was important that we backed up the win against Stockport and important that we learnt from the Dover game as well and I felt we did that.

"We played some good football but didn't get carried away, did the right things in the right areas with the ball and we got our rewards in the end.

"I'm so pleased and different goalscorers as well - it was a good night for the squad."
