Forfar are due to host Hibs on Tuesday in League Cup Group B

Hibernian's Scottish League Cup tie "is due to proceed as scheduled" on Tuesday despite Forfar Athletic winger Kyle Dalling testing positive for Covid-19.

The League One club forfeited their Group B opener against Dundee this week as a result.

But an SPFL spokesman says Dalling and midfielder Chris Antoniazzi, who was in close contact, are self-isolating.

Meanwhile, the rest of the squad has tested negative as they prepare to host the Premiership side.

The SPFL will continue to monitor the situation and will remain in daily contact with officials at the Angus club.

Forfar said in a website statement that Dalling "is feeling fine, as are his family members".

"We are now delighted to say that, following 72 hours that have been trying and quite draining for club management and officials, the Loons have been given the all-clear to resume training tomorrow morning," they said.

"The worst-case scenario at one point was that more than half the playing staff could have been forced into isolation for a fortnight, which would also have put the kybosh on our opening league fixture against Dumbarton as well, but thankfully that is not now the case."

Meanwhile, Cowdenbeath's League Two game at home to Annan Athletic on 17 October will be switched to East Fife's ground in Methil following flood damage to Central Park.

Saturday's League Cup tie at home to Hearts had already been switched to Bayview.
