Joe Lolley scored his first goal of the season with his first touch after coming on as a substitute

Nottingham Forest substitute Joe Lolley changed the game as his side fought back from two goals down to maintain their unbeaten start against winless Birmingham City.

Blues, who had failed to score in their previous three league games, took the lead before the break when Lukas Jutkiewicz looped a header past Costel Pantilimon.

Che Adams made it 2-0 with a powerful shot that beat Pantilimon via a slight deflection.

Lolley pulled one back with a ferocious strike with his first touch and Daryl Murphy grabbed a late equaliser when Lee Camp could only parry Lolley's long-range shot.

The former Huddersfield forward, who was celebrating his 26th birthday on Saturday, completely turned the game on its head after coming on for debutant Sam Byram in the 75th minute.

Blues had looked destined to record a first league or cup win of the campaign after Adams had given them a deserved 2-0 lead with just 18 minutes remaining.

Prior to Lolley's strike, Garry Monk's men had defended resolutely, with the Reds failing to create anything of note.

The draw means that Birmingham, along with Ipswich and Reading, are one of just three Championship teams still without a win this season, while Forest are one of five yet to lose.
