Former Partick Thistle defender Mark McChrystal has made 104 league starts for Bristol Rovers
Bristol Rovers captain Mark McChrystal has signed a new contract with the promoted League One club.
The 31-year-old former Northern Ireland youth defender made 21 league appearances for Rovers in 2015-16.
He has been with the club since January 2013, when he signed initially on a short-term deal after leaving Tranmere.
"It's a tremendous boost to have quality and experience in your squad for the forthcoming season," chairman Steve Hamer
"It's another good news day for the club. Anyone who watched Mark's contribution to the team's efforts during the promotion run-in will recognise what a stalwart he was for the team."
