"I moved back down here for a reason as I wanted to be at this football club and I want to stay here," he said.
Sawyer has started every League Two game for Argyle this season, having left Leyton Orient in June.
And the former Bristol Rovers defender says the top-of-the-table Pilgrims are capable of continuing their fine and promotion from the fourth-tier of English football as champions.
"It's such a big club and it's really going in the right direction now," he told 91热爆 Radio Devon.
"We have to aim to win the league and everyone at the club wants to win the league, it would be an amazing achievement for us."
