Ricardo Moniz: Notts County part company with manager

League Two side Notts County have parted company with manager Ricardo Moniz and his backroom team of Dave Kevan and Dean Yates.
Moniz, 51, was appointed in April on a three-year deal but could not save the club from relegation from League One.
The Dutchman departs Meadow Lane with the Magpies 15th in the table.
"I refuse to let us stagnate and I feel that the time is right for a new approach to reignite our season," chairman Ray Trew
After holding coaching positions at several clubs, including Tottenham, Moniz had spells in charge at Red Bull Salzburg, Ferencvaros, Lechia Gdansk and 1860 Munich before joining Notts County.
Placed in charge for the final six games of last season, Moniz recorded only one victory and the Magpies suffered the drop on the last day of the campaign.
County have won one of their last five games and are currently seven points off the League Two play-off places.
"I feel we have lacked a level of discipline and organisation in our defensive play throughout the season which has undermined our efforts," Trew added.
"By this stage of the season I felt that we needed to be seeing more consistent performances, which would naturally translate into better results.
"We know all too well how much of a sand trap this division can be - the longer we linger and struggle, the more difficult it will be to get out."
Academy manager Mick Halsall and under-21 coach Richard Dryden have been placed in charge of first-team affairs while the club appoint a new manager.
