Liam Trotter: Forest deal for Bolton man is 'dead' - Freedman

Nottingham Forest boss Dougie Freedman says a deal for Bolton Wanderers midfielder Liam Trotter has fallen through because of a "technical issue".
Forest looked set to sign the 27-year-old on loan last week but Freedman told 91热爆 Radio Nottingham: "We cannot get a deal over the line so it's dead."
Freedman refused to expand on the reasons for the glitch.
But he likened the situation to a move for Leicester City goalkeeper Ben Hamer which fell through earlier this season.
"It's a technical issue once again," Freedman added. "It's very similar to Ben Hamer.
"I am here to identify players I would like to sign. Hopefully we can sign them. If we don't, I can't get involved too much in what happens behind the scenes.
"I would think we can bring somebody else in but it needs to be a little bit clearer before we can. Before I start making phone calls we need to make sure we can."
Forest are winless in five games and sit 15th in the table following Tuesday's 1-1 draw at home against Burnley.
