Kilmarnock have yet to register a point in the 2015-16 Scottish Premiership season

Kilmarnock coach Lee McCulloch admits he is having to readjust his expectations of what constitutes a good result against Celtic.

The former Rangers player's new club sit bottom of the Premiership with no points from their opening two games.

Celtic's visit to Rugby Park on Wednesday does not seem the likeliest occasion for that scenario to improve.

"A point would obviously be our first point so that means it would be a good point," McCulloch told 91热爆 Scotland.

"Things have changed from at my last club where if I'd said a point would be really good, I'd probably never have been seen again.

"Anything, a positive result, a point, three points would be brilliant for us.

"It's more about getting the young boys on the pitch, in front of the television (cameras), it's a great experience for them, playing against the calibre of player Celtic have got just now."

McCulloch stresses the two defeats - to Dundee and Aberdeen - have not detracted from his enjoyment of his new role under Gary Locke.

And the opportunity to pass on his experience to a relatively young squad is where the former Scotland international derives most pleasure as he himself learns a new trade.

"You're learning every day. Win, lose or draw you're going to learn," he added.

"I'm getting a response from the players, there's a mutual respect there. I'm looking forward to helping the players, especially the younger players."

Meanwhile, Kilmarnock have signed 20-year-old goalkeeper Oliver Davies on loan from Swansea as back-up for Jamie MacDonald.

It allows manager Gary Locke to keep Conor Brennan out on loan at Stranraer in League One, where he is gaining first-team experience.
