Newport County have signed Wolves defender Aaron Hayden on loan for a month.

The 18-year-old is available for Saturday's trip to Cambridge, subject to international clearance.

Hayden spent his youth career at Chelsea and has represented England at youth level in the Victory Shield.

"It'll be great for him and will build what's been a good pre-season at 18 years old," said Wolves manager Kenny Jackett.

League Two side Newport face Wolves of the Championship in the first round of the League Cup, but Hayden will not be eligible to play.
