Scott Allan: Rotherham & Hibs in talks over midfielder
- Published
Hibernian and Rotherham are in talks trying to agree a fee for Easter Road midfielder Scott Allan.
The two clubs' respective valuations of the 23-year-old differ but the English Championship side outfit continue to negotiate.
Rangers have had two offers for the player rejected, and a third has been submitted, with the expectation that it will also be rebuffed.
Allan has handed in a transfer request seeking a move to Rangers.
He has previously played in England on loan from West Brom, whom he joined from Dundee United in 2012.
Portsmouth took Allan for two spells while the Scotland Under-21 international also made a handful of appearances for MK Dons and Birmingham City.
Allan returned to Scottish football with Hibs last summer and won the Scottish Championship player of the year award.
Hibs open this season's league campaign away to Dumbarton on Saturday, having lost 6-2 Rangers in the first round of the Challenge Cup before beating Montrose 3-0 in the League Cup - a match in which Allan scored.
