Cardiff City consider removing Sam Hammam as life president

Sam Hammam was chairman of Wimbledon when they beat Liverpool in the 1988 FA Cup Final.
Cardiff City's board meet on Friday to consider removing Sam Hammam as life president.
Club directors have already unanimously voted to express their lack of confidence in Hammam's representative on the board, Michael Filiou.
Former club chairman Hammam said in February that owner Vincent Tan and Cardiff were being sued over nearly 拢6m owed to creditors Langston.
The club want to know the identity of the corporation before paying anything.
The original debt of 拢24m was in the form of loan notes issued by the Langston Corporation when Hammam was at the helm of the club between 2000 and 2006.
In 2013 Cardiff and Langston announced "an amicable resolution" to the longstanding debt issue, with Hammam appointed life president as part of the settlement and Filiou taking a seat on the board of directors.
The club have been contacted by lawyers representing Filiou confirming they have contacted the Football Association of Wales (FAW) over the dispute.
A senior Cardiff City source said: "Cardiff would be delighted to give up itself to any arbitration, as long as it is fair and transparent and we know who Langston are."
