Wales should believe they can win Euro 2016 if they qualify for next summer's finals, says former Arsenal and France striker Thierry Henry.

Wales are three points clear at the top of qualifying Group B with four games remaining after beating Belgium 1-0.

Henry thinks Wales should be inspired by Euro 2004's shock champions Greece.

"They have an amazing chance to qualify. Look what happened back in 2004. Nobody expected Greece to win it but they did," he told 91热爆 Wales Sport.

"If they do manage to do it [qualify], then they need to go to France with the mentality and desire to win the competition.

"Otherwise they might as well stay at home and not bother qualifying."

Henry is studying for his coaching A-Licence in Newport under the guidance of Wales coach and Football Association of Wales technical director Osian Roberts.

A World Cup and European Championship winner with France, Henry said before Wales' win against Belgium that he had been impressed with Chris Coleman's side in their Euro 2016 qualifying campaign so far.

Having beaten Belgium, Wales have now given themselves an excellent opportunity of qualifying for a first major tournament finals since the 1958 World Cup.

With home matches against Israel and Andorra and trips to Cyprus and Bosnia-Hercegovina to come, Henry believes Wales can qualify.

"They have a difficult game away in Cyprus next but two more wins should be enough," he added.

"I know that qualifying will be a big thing for Wales."
