Swansea City have been forced to after a USA-based tournament it was due to compete in during July was cancelled.

Newcastle United, Spanish side Malaga, Lyon, Pachuca from Mexico and Raja Casablanca of Morocco were also due to take part.

But the Dallas-based competition was called off hours after Malaga pulled out.

Swansea say it will announce the club's new plans once "they are confirmed".

A statement on the club's website read: "We apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused our supporters."
