Euro 2016 qualifiers: Wales decide against June friendly
- Published
Wales will not play a friendly match in the build-up to the Euro 2016 qualifier against Belgium in June, 91热爆 Wales understands.
The Football Association of Wales had held talks with a number of countries, including Northern Ireland, about the possibility of a friendly.
But manager Chris Coleman has decided to concentrate on the Belgium game on 12 June and will hold a training camp.
The squad is likely to meet on 1 June or 2 June.
Lack of match fitness ahead of the Belgium game is a potential concern for Coleman with the Premier League season ending on 24 May, nearly three weeks before the qualifier at Cardiff City Stadium.
The Championship season finishes on 2 May and unless players are involved in the Football League play-offs, it would mean a six-week break before the qualifier against Belgium
Belgium have already confirmed they will play a friendly against France on Sunday, 7 June.
