Ross McCormack has withdrawn from the Scotland squad for the double-header against Northern Ireland and Gibraltar with a knee injury.

The Fulham forward, 28, was injured in last week's loss to Leeds United and missed Saturday's win at Huddersfield.

McCormack has two goals in 11 Scotland appearances, his last coming in the 1-0 friendly win over Poland last March.

Meanwhile, Dundee United's Paul Paton has withdrawn from the Northern Ireland squad with a knee injury.

Scotland face Northern Ireland in a friendly international at Hampden on Wednesday, before Sunday's Euro 2016 qualifier with Group D's bottom side Gibraltar.

Gordon Strachan's side are in third place with seven points from four games.
