Ross County manager Jim McIntyre praised his side's spirit after they came from two goals down to draw at Hamilton Academical.

A header from Craig Curran and a 71st-minute strike from Michael Gardyne salvaged a point for the visitors, who fell behind in the first half.

"The boys showed a terrific desire to come back," McIntyre told 91Èȱ¬ Scotland.

"When you lose two early goals like that it can be a long afternoon - the spirit was fantastic."

The draw made for largely entertaining fare at New Douglas Park, with both sides moving the ball well.

"I certainly feel we made very good goal-scoring opportunities and we should have been, to my mind, ahead at the break," added McIntyre, whose side had won their previous four league matches.

"It's another point gained - any away point in the Premier League is never a bad result."

His Accies counterpart, player-manager Martin Canning, faces the task of arresting a 10-match winless run since he took over from Alex Neil.

"It's really disappointing - we're 2-0 up and I think at 2-0 we should go and see out the game," he said.

"But we're a young side and it's a learning process for everybody. I'm disappointed with the amount of crosses we allowed into the box today. If you allow too many crosses, eventually teams are going to punish you, and that's what happened today.

"All you can do is keep on working hard - get the wins, that's the biggest thing. Once you start winning again you relax and go and play, but when it's been a while, like the run we've been on, a wee bit of anxiety sets in."
