Notts County boss Shaun Derry says Jimmy Spencer is training again after almost eight months out with injury.

The 23-year-old striker suffered a cruciate knee ligament injury in a pre-season game against Mansfield in July.

Former Huddersfield player Spencer scored five goals in 13 appearances for the Magpies after signing for the League One club in February 2014.

"He wants to try and get back as quickly as possible" Derry told 91Èȱ¬ Radio Nottingham.
