Sectarian chants provoke SPFL review of spectator misconduct

The Scottish Professional Football League board says it will review its rules relating to spectator misconduct.
In a statement the board said it would review recent events at next month's meeting, with particular focus on sectarian chanting.
"An SPFL board meeting was convened by conference call to discuss recent supporter misconduct at matches."
"The strong view of the SPFL board is that such behaviour has no place in Scottish football," the statement read.
Following sectarian singing from Rangers fans at the recent match at Raith Rovers, the SPFL has come in for criticism for their failure or inability to deal with the issue.
"These events and the current regulations in this area will be reviewed and discussed in detail when the board meets in person at Hampden in March," the statement continued.
