Cardiff have also signed two players from Everton, winger Matthew Kennedy on a permanent deal and forward Conor McAleny on loan.
Kennedy, 20, joins for an undisclosed fee and has signed a three-and-a-half year contract, while McAleny, 22, is on loan for the rest of the season.
Two players leaving Cardiff are 20-year-old midfielder Tommy O'Sullivan and striker Daniel Johnson, who have joined Port Vale and Stevenage respectively on one-month loan deals.
The Bluebirds have, however, rejected a 拢2m bid from Norwich City for winger Craig Noone, who Cardiff believe is worth at least 拢5m.
