Wrexham have extended Stoke goalkeeper Daniel Bachmann's loan until the end of the season, subject to Fifa clearance.

The 20-year-old, who joined Wrexham on loan in August, returned to the Britannia Stadium after playing against Southport on Boxing Day.

Bachmann is back with Wrexham and hopes they can improve on their current position of 16th in the Conference.

"It's been really good. Hopefully we can crack on and push for promotion," said Bachmann.

"That's definitely what we will try to do, to get in the play-offs."

Wrexham also want to extend defender James Pearson's loan from Leicester.

Pearson is the son of Foxes manager Nigel and has played eight games for Wrexham since joining in October.

Goalkeeper Jonathan Flatt and midfielder Johnny Hunt have also returned to Wolves and Cambridge respectively after their loan spells ended.

Midfielder Joe Thompson, who was on loan from Bury, has returned to his parent club, having recently sustained an injury.

Wrexham's next game is away to Stockport County in the FA Trophy on Saturday, 10 January.
