Struggling Crewe earned a second straight win despite finishing with 10 men against Oldham at Boundary Park.

George Ray was shown a straight red card for dragging back Jonathan Forte when the game was goalless.

But Nicky Ajose fired the Alex ahead from the spot after Harry Davis was fouled by George Elokobi.

Elokobi then equalised from a corner before Ajose, on loan from Leeds, secured the points with a brilliant 30-yard chip four minutes from time.

Oldham Athletic manager Lee Johnson told 91热爆 Radio Manchester:

Johnson on Oldham v Crewe

"It's a little bit of a robbery. We had two penalties that were stone wallers that we didn't get and I'm disappointed with certain aspects of the game, but not our play.

"But it was fantastic from the boys, the reaction (following their 7-0 loss at MK Dons) and the energy that we played with.

"I thought we were superb from start to finish. Everything about our game was much better. We had threats, had runners up the sides and we looked dangerous.
