Will Grigg notched his sixth goal of the season as MK Dons sealed all three points against 10-man Yeovil at Huish Park.
Ben Nugent was dismissed for the hosts after the break when he received a second booking for bringing down Grigg.
The Dons capitalised just minutes later when Grigg raced to slot the ball past on-loan goalkeeper Jake Kean.
Daniel Powell doubled the visitors' lead late on when he curled home an impressive strike from distance.
The result means Yeovil slip to 19th place in the League One table, whilst MK Dons remain fourth.
Yeovil Town boss Gary Johnson told 91热爆 Radio Somerset:
"You have to stop a Milton Keynes team playing their pattern. That means, try to get 10-15 passes to get their game going, to try and get it out to the left-back to head it inside and we coped with all of them things.
"We had the first two or three chances but then we shot ourselves in the foot like we've done a couple of times this year.
"We made a mistake and the mistake was for a lad to get sent off and it was a sending off - two bookings. There were a few that I thought weren't bookings in the game but those two were."
MK Dons Manager Karl Robinson told 91热爆 Three Counties Radio:
"I actually thought they were good. I thought the sending off really did swing the game. We were a little bit sloppy at times today, but we've won 2-0. I'm very, very happy.
(On Nugent sending off) "There were a number of challenges today which were borderline. By the laws of the game it was out of control. It was an interesting one, but if he doesn't get the ball I think he'll go.
"It rained today, really heavy and it was a slow pitch. It was a slow game. But I thought the two sets of players were 100% committed to their football club this afternoon.
"We said 10 games was the benchmark for us, now 10 games on we're sat in a good position. This is a great afternoon for us."
