Doncaster ended their six-month wait for a home win with a thrilling triumph over Chesterfield.

Nathan Tyson headed home a Reece Wabara cross before Kyle Bennett lashed in off the crossbar to double Rovers' lead.

Sam Clucas pulled one back for the visitors as he pounced on a rebound, only for Jamie McCombe to score in similar fashion and restore the two-goal cushion soon after.

Eoin Doyle set up a nervy finish with a tap in but Doncaster held on.

The win moved Paul Dickov's side up to 15th in the League One table, while Chesterfield slipped to fifth.

Doncaster Rovers boss Paul Dickov told 91热爆 Radio Sheffield:

"I'm delighted with the three points - in the first half we went 2-0 up and looked comfortable, as if we were going to score more goals.

"But we dropped deep and conceded a poor goal by letting their midfielders run off the back of us.

"It was a similar story in the second half - we started fantastically well, went 3-1 ahead, should have had a penalty and hit the bar.

"Then we started dropping deeper and deeper and stopped doing the things that got us in front in the first place."

Chesterfield assistant manager Leam Richardson told to 91热爆 Radio Sheffield:

"The game had everything. For a neutral it would have been a good spectacle with both teams trying to win.

"I thought our lads gave everything and when they do that, you can't knock them.

"We've conceded too many goals in the last two games but we have also played very well for large periods."
