Kilmarnock's Kris Boyd celebrates

Scotland striker Kris Boyd will decide on his future in the next couple of weeks, with Dundee United among the clubs expressing an interest.

The 30-year-old is out of contract with Kilmarnock, who remain interested in extending his stay at Rugby Park.

But Boyd has attracted inquiries from other Scottish Premiership clubs as well as a couple in England.

He previously played in the Championship in England with Middlesbrough and Nottingham Forest.

Boyd also spent time in Turkey's top flight with Eskisehirspor and Major League Soccer outfit Portland Timbers before returning for a second spell at Rugby Park in February 2013.

United manager Jackie McNamara is understood to have been impressed with the former Rangers striker's haul of 22 goals last season.

The Scottish Premier League's record scorer helped Kilmarnock clear of the relegation play-off zone this season.

United are seeking a new striker after the departure of Farid El Alagui, whose loan from Brentford has ended.
