St Mirren rebuff approach for Stephen McGinn
St Mirren have turned down an offer for midfielder John McGinn.
Press Association Sport say the bid for the 19-year-old came from Sheffield United, where older brother Stephen has been since last summer.
A statement on the Buddies website confirms an approach and describes the fee offered as "well below our valuation of the player".
McGinn, a Scotland U21 international, scored three goals in 39 appearances for the Paisley club this season.
Stephen, 25, left St Mirren for Watford in 2010 for an undisclosed fee.
