St Mirren: Eric Djemba-Djemba among Buddies departures

Eric Djemba-Djemba, Conor Newton, Josh Magennis and Adam Campbell will not be at St Mirren next season, said manager Tommy Craig.
Midfielder Djemba-Djemba, 33, who joined in February, has failed to win a place in Cameroon's World Cup squad.
Striker Campbell, 19, and midfielder Newton, 22, were on loan from Newcastle, with forward Magennis, 23, loaned from Aberdeen.
Craig says dialogue continues with midfielder Kenny McLean, 22.
The Scottish Professional Football League player of the month for April is soon to be out of contract, along with Paul McGowan, Marian Kello and Darren McGregor,
Craig, 63, who took over from Danny Lennon earlier this month, has promoted senior players Jim Goodwin and Gary Teale to player-coach roles.
However, he explained why newly-appointed Steven Thompson was not added to the backroom staff.
"In terms of coaching, Stevie isn't ready to go into it yet,"
"His biggest asset to St Mirren is his scoring prowess and I'm looking to see him being the same 20-goal-a-season a striker that he has been for the club thus far.
"He is so valuable at doing what he does best, and that's putting the ball into the back of the net.
"Over the next couple of days I'll be continuing to talk to the other players who will be out of contract. I know people will be asking about Kenny McLean and as things stand the dialogue continues with him."
David van Zanten confirmed his departure from St Mirren on Monday.
