Hearts: Jamie Hamill to face disciplinary hearing

  • Published

Hearts midfielder Jamie Hamill is to face a disciplinary hearing after knocking Ross County manager Derek Adams to the ground on Saturday.

The 27-year-old was shown a second yellow card following the celebrations that followed his successful penalty kick in a 2-0 victory at Tynecastle.

It appeared Hamill would escape with a one-match ban for the sending off.

But he has now been issued with a notice of complaint by Scottish FA compliance officer Vincent Lunny.

Hamill is being accused of breaking disciplinary rule 201 - which includes "any physical violence" - through "excessive misconduct at a match by knocking Derek Adams, manager of Ross County FC, to the ground".

A hearing has been arranged for Thursday 8 May and and the player has until 30 April to respond.

Hamill will miss this weekend's Edinburgh derby against Hibernian and could now face a further suspension.
