Leicester City manager Nigel Pearson wants his squad to mark their Championship title win by setting a new club record points total.

City equalled their record of 96 points with Tuesday's 1-0 win at Bolton.

The Premier League-bound Foxes have two games remaining to reach 100 points for the first time in their history.

"The motivation for them is we have been able to win the league and we can achieve the highest points total the club has ever had," said Pearson.

Talking to 91热爆 Radio Leicester, Pearson continued: "It's quite amazing to say that. I want them to show what they can do in the last two games.

"It's important that the players go in to the games with the luxury of being able to enjoy the performances, but I want them to be right."

Lloyd Dyer's second-half goal at the Reebok Stadium was enough to crown the Foxes as champions and extend their record for most league wins in a season to 29 matches.

While they also set a new club record for most consecutive league wins earlier this term, Pearson still demands more in their remaining games at Huddersfield and at home against Doncaster.

"We played some great football, but we were a little self-indulgent at times, trying to walk it into the net," said Pearson after the Bolton win.

"But we have players that are really capable and who are confident.

"We do also need to add that extra bit of ruthlessness to ourselves, but I can't complain. Twenty-nine wins in a league campaign with two games to go is a bit special, I think.

"I might sound like a bit of a killjoy at times, but I'd like us to go into this situation with a professional air about us and I think that will be important moving forward."
