A double from Martin Boyle helped ease Dundee past Cowdenbeath and move them two points clear at the top of the Championship.

The hosts went ahead when Craig Wighton latched on to Peter MacDonald's pass to fire home.

Boyle smashed in his first before the break before a header by Jim McAlister on the hour mark extended Dundee's advantage.

And Boyle converted another MacDonald pass to round off the hosts' win.
