Gareth Barry: Everton to discuss midfielder's future in the summer

Everton manager Roberto Martinez says discussions about midfielder Gareth Barry's long-term future will not take place until the summer.
Barry, 32, is on a season-long loan from Manchester City and is out of contract at the end of the campaign.

"I still think he is the best English player in his position," said Martinez, who concedes Barry could have other suitors by the summer.
"There will be other options, something I will always be aware of," added the Spaniard. "He is in a position where he can choose where his football happiness is going to be."
Barry has made 20 Premier League appearances for Everton this season, helping keep them in contention for a top-five finish.
The England international has not featured for his country since a friendly match against Norway during the build-up to Euro 2012, but for the World Cup in Brazil this summer.
"The only thing he is focused on now is playing every game and playing as well as he can," said Martinez. "It is a joy to have him here."
