Swansea City are close to agreeing a deal with Hearts for the Scottish Premiership club's teenage midfielder Adam King.

The 18-year-old has made only three appearances for the Tynecastle outfit this season.

But a fee in the region of 拢150,000 is being discussed for the product of Hearts' youth system.

Should a transfer be agreed, King is unlikely to leave the Edinburgh club until the summer.

Hearts are under a signing embargo while in administration and manager Gary Locke is struggling to fill his substitutes' bench because of injuries and suspensions.

Administrator BDO has failed in one bid to have the embargo lifted and a second attempt appears doomed to failure.

The Edinburgh side are near certainties for relegation this season, sitting 19 points behind Ross County after starting with a 15-point penalty.

King made his debut as a substitute in a 7-0 Scottish Cup thrashing by Celtic in December.

The Scotland Under-18 international has since started twice, in league defeats by the reigning champions Celtic and Kilmarnock.

His brother, Billy, who is one year older and also plays in midfield, has made 17 appearances for Hearts this season.
