Celtic manager Neil Lennon heaped praise on Kris Commons after the forward's goal secured victory against Inverness Caledonian Thistle.

Commons drilled home early in the match and came close to adding to his tally in the second half.

"He's clinical," Lennon told 91热爆 Scotland. "His goal was the one real outstanding bit of quality in the game.

"He's really at the forefront of all the good things that we're doing at the minute."

The result preserved Celtic's unbeaten Scottish Premiership record ahead of the New Year's Day meeting with Partick Thistle.

"We got off to a great start," Lennon said. "We had decent control of the game. We could've done better in the final third at times.

"We will play better, there's no question of that. But, it's a sixth clean sheet in a row.

"At this stage of the season away from home, you have to grind out results at times and that's exactly what we're doing."

With the transfer window re-opening in January, Lennon repeated his desire to add to his squad.

"I'm certainly looking to bring players in because the squad's thin," he added.

"We've got six or seven out injured at the minute and I think some of the players need a helping hand and that's what we're going to try and do."
