Inverness striker Billy McKay insists transfer speculation linking him with English clubs will not distract him.

reported that Peterborough United, Rotherham United and Burnley are all interested.

"Obviously you're doing something right if other teams are looking at you and wanting your services," McKay told 91热爆 Radio Scotland.

"But I'm just focusing on the job at Inverness, I'm not thinking other than that and the next game."

The Northern Irishman failed to get on the scoresheet in the 0-0 Boxing Day match with Partick Thistle at Firhill, but he has netted 47 times since his move to the Caledonian Stadium in 2011.

McKay, 25, suggested a move away from the Highlands during the January transfer window is far from a foregone conclusion.

"It depends what team it is and whether it's right for me and my family," he said.

"But one thing is that I'm happy here, I've been happy here for the last two and-a-half years. I'm pleased to be scoring goals for Inverness and I want to carry on doing that.

"No-one's had contact with me. I'm not sure, you'd have to ask the club on that. Nothing can happen at the minute anyway because we're in December."

Caley Thistle, who have now gone two games without a win, sit third in the Scottish Premiership.

On Sunday they welcome Celtic to the Caledonian Stadium.

"We know we've got to be right on our game if we're going to get something against Celtic," added McKay. "We were 2-0 up against them last time and ended up getting a draw.

"A few results went our way today. But today we didn't play how we know we can, but we ground out a draw. That's what it's all about when we're not at our best, to make sure we don't get beat.

"Fair play to Partick Thistle. They has a good shape and stopped us playing, but we've got to deal with that better and we weren't up to the standard we've set this season."
