York City have signed Charlton Athletic goalkeeper Nick Pope on a one-month loan deal.

The 21-year-old joined the Addicks from non-league Bury Town in 2011 and recently spent time on loan with Conference Premier side Aldershot.

He could make his debut for York in Saturday's trip to Southend.

"He's young but he has got good experience and he's a player who I think has a lot of potential," boss Nigel Worthington told 91Èȱ¬ Radio York.
