Iain Russell scored twice as Queen of the South beat hosts Alloa Athletic in the Scottish Championship.

The forward converted Chris Mitchell's cross to open the scoring and threatened again with a header before the break.

And, after having another effort saved by Scott Bain, Russell netted from Derek Young's pass to double the visitors' lead.
