Brighton midfielder Andrew Crofts is looking to make his mark after a "frustrating" return to the club.

Injuries restricted the 29-year-old to 25 appearances last season after he re-joined the Seagulls from Norwich.

He told "I had a couple of injures and moving club can sometimes be a bit difficult.

"I am used to playing quite a lot of games and I am feeling fit and strong. I want to be the best that I can be and I will work hard to do that."

The Wales international added: "I was frustrated last year. I did OK but I wasn't fully fit. I missed a good few months last season although I managed to get in quite a few games.

"I am so hungry. I am an ambitious person and I am all about passion and desire.

"When I step on the pitch I want to show everybody how much I want to win. If you see people doing that it rubs off on each other."

Crofts scored his first goal for Brighton since March 2010 when he hit the winner in their 1-0 victory at Birmingham on Saturday.

"I scored in pre-season in the last two years and it is nice to get off the mark early doors," he said.

"I think I showed everyone what I am about at Birmingham. I love this club and we all want to take it forward."
