Crawley Town first-team coach Craig Brewster has left the club after a two-year spell on the coaching staff.

The 46-year-old Scot joined the League One side in May 2011 and had spells as caretaker boss when Steve Evans left for Rotherham and later when Sean O'Driscoll joined Nottingham Forest.

"Winning promotion to League One and then establishing ourselves has been one of my career highlights," he said.

"The club will always have a special place in my heart."

Brewster has moved on as part of backroom restructuring at Broadfield Stadium.

The club is currently looking for new investment after co-owner Sue Carter announcement in March that she wanted to sell the club.

Chief executive Richard Low told "As our supporters know, we are in the process of restructuring our operations and we worked hard to try and keep Craig within our financial structures.

"It was just not possible despite both parties' best efforts and he will be a big loss because he was extremely popular with everyone at the club."
