Former Rangers chief executive fined by SFA over 'racist' comment

Former Rangers chief executive Charles Green has been fined 拢2,500 after a Scottish FA complaint of breaching two disciplinary rules was upheld.
The matter relates to quotes attributed to Green in a newspaper interview during his time at Ibrox.
Green was alleged to have made comments "of an offensive and racist nature" which brought the game into disrepute and were not in the best interests of association football.
At the time of his notice of complaint, the Englishman apologised "unreservedly".
Green, who did not appear at the SFA tribunal, has been given 30 days to pay the fine.
