Huddersfield have signed full-back Jake Carroll from League of Ireland side St Patrick's Athletic on a two-year deal.

The 21-year-old, who can also play in central midfield, has had two trial spells with the Championship side.

He will join up with The Terriers ahead of next season for an undisclosed fee.

"He impressed me when he was here on trial. He is left sided, quick, powerful and has a good attitude with an aptitude to learn quickly."
