Bobby Zamora is sent off for QPR against Wigan on Sunday

Harry Redknapp says Bobby Zamora's "crazy challenge" has cost Queens Park Rangers "dearly" - but thinks 13 points from the final six games could keep them up.

Zamora starts a three-match ban at Everton on Saturday, after being sent off in Sunday's 1-1 draw with Wigan.

QPR are seven points adrift of Premier League safety with six matches left.

"Bobby's sending off was a rash decision and missing him for three games is a big loss," Redknapp said.

The striker saw red for a high challenge on Wigan's Jordi Gomez after 20 minutes on Sunday.

Zamora has scored five goals in 21 appearances for QPR this season, leaving Redknapp frustrated at him being unable to continue his partnership with joint top scorer Loic Remy.

He said: "It was a crazy challenge and it's cost us dearly because we lost him for most of that game and for the next three matches.

"He's not 100% fit but he's still a good player.

"When Bobby and Remy have played together we always look like we're going to win, but we can't get the partnership together."

Remy moved to Loftus Road for a club record 拢8m from Marseille in January but manager Redknapp expects interest from rivals this summer.

He said: "Remy's our joint leading goal scorer with five goals. "Remy is a goal scorer, he scores fantastic goals and is a great finisher. He could have scored three last week. In a full season in the Premier League, he will get you 20 goals.

"For sure there is going to be interest in him."

Redknapp believes there is still hope for his side, who have 24 points from 32 matches, despite having won just four games so far this season.

"It wasn't easy after the Wigan game," he added. "I felt low over the weekend but you just have to get on with it.

"Getting the three points is massive. We certainly need to win four games and draw one to give ourselves any sort of chance."
