Kris Machala has stepped down as chairman of Aldershot Town, with Shahid Azeem replacing him.
Machala, who had been chairman since July 2010, will remain on the League Two club's board of directors.
A club statement said: "We take this opportunity to formally thank Kris for his dedication and commitment.
"We welcome Shahid and have every faith that with everyone supporting him he will lead the club through a difficult but improving position."
It added: "Shahid's priority will be to lead the club through a period of financial restructure, including the attraction of the new investment needed to further the strategic aims of the club."
Former Woking director and chairman Azeem joined the Shots two years ago as a non-executive director.
