Hibernian manager Pat Fenlon is concentrating on attempts to extend the loans of three key players before thoughts of other January transfers.

Deals involving Wolves striker Leigh Griffiths, Manchester City defender Ryan McGivern and Motagua midfielder Jorge Claros are due to end.

"We are working away, but we can only do so much," said Fenlon. "The final decision is outside of our control.

"They're the ones we're actively trying to sort out at the moment."

Hibs, whose chairman has warned of possible cost cutting if attendances do not rise, are attempting to extend the deals until the end of the season.

But Wolves manager Stale Solbakken has warned that, although Griffiths has no future at Molineux, the Championship club will look to sell him in January instead of allowing an extension of his loan.

And Hibs expect to have competition for the their top scorer's signature come January.

Meanwhile, midfielder Gary Deegan could start against Kilmarnock at Rugby Park after making his first appearance since suffering a fractured jaw when Hibs lost 3-2 to Motherwell last weekend.

Right-back Tim Clancy could be in the squad following a groin problem, with captain James McPake suspended following his sending-off against Motherwell on his return from a back injury.
