Kick It Out will hold talks with the Premier League, Professional Footballers' Association and the Football Association on Wednesday.

The anti-discrimination body will discuss the Mark Clattenburg affair and the boycott by some black players of the organisation's action week.

It is understood the meeting will focus on how the different groups can work to avoid difficulties in the future.

The meeting is a scheduled get-together of the anti-racism charity's trustees.

The talks come as an FA investigation continues into allegations that referee Clattenburg made "inappropriate comments", including a racial reference, towards Chelsea midfielder John Mikel Obi.

The Metropolitan Police, prompted by a complaint from the Society of Black Lawyers, is also investigating the alleged incident that took place during Chelsea's game against Manchester United at Stamford Bridge last month.
