Gillingham yet to hit top gear - Chris Whelpdale

Gillingham winger Chris Whelpdale thinks the side are yet to hit their peak in League Two.
The Gills have only lost one league game this season and sit three points clear at the top of the table.
The 23-year-old told 91热爆 Radio Kent: "I still think we have a lot more to come from everyone. We are only in third or fourth gear.
"Seeing what we can do in training and the potential of our team, I definitely believe we can step it up."
He added: "The gaffer [Martin Allen] doesn't let our standards drop in training and it's showing in our performances at weekends.
"We are so solid at the back and the team shape is brilliant at the moment.
"We are looking very strong."
Whelpdale, who joined the Kent club from Peterborough in July 2011, says the side are not getting carried away with their start to the season.
"We're taking each game as it comes and are looking to build as many points as we can," he said.
"If we keep performing the way we are doing, we will hopefully get promoted this year.
"We are all confident, believe in ourselves and have got that winning mentality at the moment."
