Plymouth striker Warren Feeney hopes the goals he scored at Morecambe will give him confidence to score more.

The 31-year-old Northern Ireland international scored two late penalties to seal a 3-2 win for the Pilgrims.

"It was pleasing for me to get the goals and hopefully it gives me the confidence going into the next game," Feeney told 91热爆 Radio Devon.

"Goals are goals, you've still got to put the ball into the back of the net and all goals bring confidence."

He added: "I want to add goals to my game this year and I'm going the right way about it."

Feeney has scored six goals for Argyle since joining the club in August last year on a free transfer.

And the former Luton, Bournemouth and Cardiff City striker admits he has been working hard to increase his goals now that the club are out of administration.

"I've got to get my head down and keep working hard and hopefully more can come," he said.

"I want to prolong my club career as long as I can.

"Last year was a different type of pressure as we tried to stay up, this year I want to add goals to my game.

"It's confidence and once you get on a run hopefully you can add a few more."
