Bournemouth chairman Eddie Mitchell says co-owner Max Demin has enjoyed his first season at Dean Court and is fully committed to the League One club.

Demin bought a 50% stake in Bournemouth in November but is yet to make a public appearance. But Mitchell says he takes an active role in all club decisions.

"He is very much enjoying the project," Mitchell told 91热爆 Radio Solent.

Meanwhile, Mitchell revealed the club could announce their new manager as early as Saturday evening.

Caretaker boss Paul Groves is expected to be given the job permanently once the season is over on Saturday.

Mitchell says Demin will also be involved in that decision with the Russian businessman determined to turn Bournemouth into a Championship club.

"It will be a joint choice and he will be as disappointed as me if we don't succeed. We are determined to make it succeed," added Mitchell.

"He is very much enjoying the project but he is disappointed we haven't done better but that is the same as me and the same as the players I suspect.

"Any change in personnel will be decided by me and Max. He is a strong enough character to tell me if he doesn't think I've made the right choice or decision."

Meanwhile, Groves has revealed why he recalled veteran striker Steve Fletcher from his loan spell at Plymouth and hinted the 39-year-old could play a part at Bournemouth next season.

"He has proved over his time at this football club what a fantastic servant he is and what an effective player he is," Groves old 91热爆 Radio Solent.

"He's effective in both boxes and he is massively important. In their box he is threat and in our own box he is a real presence and dominates airily.

Groves added: "It is a vital part of the game that you have to take into account that at set pieces you have got to have people that are prepared to put their body on the line as there are times in the game where you just have to throw the ball into the box."
