Goalkeeper Alan Marriott scored from his own penalty area as Mansfield beat Blue Square Bet Premier play-off rivals Wrexham to secure third place.

Marriott's long punt was misjudged by Wrexham keeper Joslain Mayebi, who saw the ball bounce over him into the net.

Anthony Howell opened the scoring with an early header from six yards.

Wrexham were already assured of second place before kick-off and Mansfield's win means the pair can only meet again this season in the play-off final.
